Do you know that once you say yes to Jesus, God baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, that now you have authority and power? The authority and power that you have is inside of you. That's right. The same power that raised Christ from the Dead Now lives inside you. And just in case you didn't know, this episode is for you.

I pray this episode will unlock in you the authority and power that remain inside you, and that you will know how wide and long, and how high and deep is the love of Christ.
Understanding Your Position with Christ
Today's episode is called Walking in [00:01:00] Authority. What it means to reign with Christ. Yes, you heard that right? You reign with Christ. He is just not our leader, our God. But he is also a servant, a friend, a strong tower against the foe. So realizing your stance with Jesus is what will transform your mind from the inside out.
Your view of people will change. What you deem important will change and your walk with Jesus will change Once you understand this important fact.
Scriptural Foundations of Authority
Now listen, as I read Ephesians chapter one, verse 18 through 23. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you.
The riches of his [00:02:00] glorious inheritance in his holy people and his uncom comparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength. He exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly rims. Far above all rule and authority. Power and dominion and every name that is involved, not only in the present age, but also in the one to come, and God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who feels everything in every way.
So now from what I just read. Imagine it like a heavenly chart of [00:03:00] authority with God being at the top of that chart, who is the source of all power, authority, and purpose. He then gives all authority to Jesus, which is the face of God and is seated at God's right hand. Jesus is now seated far above all, rule authority, power, dominion, every name now and forever.
Everything is under his feet, and he is head over all things for the church, and Jesus authority flows into the church, which is the body of Jesus. We are his fullness, so we are seated with him. Far above all rule, all authority, all power, all dominion in every name. Now. And forever. That [00:04:00] also means his power flows through us, empowered to walk in authority because now we sit far above everything and everything is under our feet.
Jesus is the head. And we are the body, and that means we don't fight for victory. We fight from victory. That's the authority we walk in. Now in Luke chapter 10, verse 17 through 20, it reads the 72 return with joy and said, Lord.
Even the demons submit to us in your name, he replied, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven, having given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all power of the enemy, nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirit submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in [00:05:00] heaven.
Real-Life Application of Authority
But now let's zoom in on a moment where that authority was put into action. Luke 10. Jesus has sent out 72 of his followers, not apostles, not pastors, regular disciples, people like you and me. He told them to go out, heal the sick, preach the kingdom, and confront darkness, and they came back rejoicing, saying Lord.
Even the demons submit to us in your name. Wait a moment. They're realizing, wait, this isn't just Jesus doing miracles. We're walking in power too. And then Jesus drops a heavy truth. I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I'm giving you authority over all the power of the enemy. [00:06:00] Nothing will harm you.
He confirms what Paul will later explain in Ephesians that we have heaven's backing. The darkness must submit when we speak in his name, but Jesus. Also gives them a heart check. He says, don't rejoice just because demons obey you. Rejoice because your names are written in heaven. Why? Because authority flows from identity.
Jesus is saying, yes, you have power. Yes, you walk in victory, but don't build your joy on power. Build on the fact that you belong to me. That you're known in heaven, that your name is written in the book of life. That's the foundation of our authority Relationship with Jesus. Not hype, not ego, not titles.
Because authority isn't earned, is granted by [00:07:00] grace, is tied into our identity in Christ Jesus. Authority isn't just for pastor and leaders, it's for all believers. Now, Paul. It takes us even further in one Corinthians chapter three, verse 21 through 23, he says, so then no more boasting about human leaders.
All things are yours. Whether Paul or Apollos or fus are the world, our life, our, the present, our the future, all are yours and you are Christ, and Christ is of God. What's he saying? He's shifting their mindset. The Corinthian church was busy comparing teachers, Paul Apollo fuss, trying to figure out who had more spiritual clout.
But Paul saying. You don't need to compete for status when you [00:08:00] already have inheritance. Everything belongs to you, not because of who you follow, but because of who you belong to. That's the mindset of Kingdom authority. You don't walk around trying to earn influence. You walk in awareness that you already have access to everything God has in Christ the present.
You walk in power now, the future, your purpose and eternity are secure. Life and death. They don't control you, even the world itself. You're an heir with Christ. What does this mean? You don't need to chase people. You don't need to fear anything. You don't need to be intimidated by the future. You are in Christ and all things are yours, and that's not arrogance.
It's alignment. It is not name it, claim [00:09:00] it. It's knowing whose name is written over your life.
Challenges to Walking in Authority
A few reasons, some may be struggling with their authority is one identity. You must know your identity in Christ to be able to know your authority. It's like a judge who think he is a prisoner. As long as he keeps thinking he is the prisoner, what authority will they ever have?
But as soon as they realize, wait, I'm the judge, then their mind is set free in all authority. So you must know that you are a child of God, an heir to the kingdom. You have an i, inheritance and power through Christ Jesus. Number two reason some people have a hard time with knowing their authority is they lack faith.
In Matthew chapter 17, verse 19 through 20, it raised and the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, why couldn't we drive it [00:10:00] out? He replied, because you have so little faith. Truly, I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you. And a number three reason, some people have a hard time with their authority and power is you are yoked with other idols slash false gods. And the number three reason. Some people have a hard time with their authority is they are yoked with other idol slash false gods. You can't play in the enemy's tent and think you will have kingdom authority of Jesus Christ.
And this also goes for unresolved sin as well. And numbers Chapter 25, verse one through five reads, while Israel was staying in shit, the men began to indulge in sexual immorality [00:11:00] with mobi women. Who invited them to the sacrifices to their God. The people ate the sacrificial meal and bowed down before these Gods Israel yoked themselves to the bow of Pierre and the Lord's anger burned against them.
The Lord said to Moses, take all the leaders of these people, kill them and expose them in broad daylight before the Lord so that the Lord's fierce anger may turn away from Israel. Moses said to Israel, judges, each of you must put to death those of your people who have yoked themselves to the bow of pr.
So let that sink in. They yoked themself, which means they willingly entered into agreement with darkness. As a result, their spiritual power was cut off. God didn't ignore it. He brought judgment, not [00:12:00] just on individuals, but on the entire nation. Leadership was called to accountability. People lost their lives.
This wasn't a small slip. It was an open rebellion. You cannot walk in the authority of Christ. While living in agreement with sin, sin doesn't just make you feel bad. It actually opens a door for the enemy to have influence in your life. It weakens your spiritual authority. It breaks alignment with heaven.
It is like driving a car that has no engine. You can turn the key. You can hit the gas, but eventually everything seizes up. That's what happens when we try to speak with authority while secretly living in compromise. You can't bind demons when you're entertaining them in private. You can't take authority over fear while harboring unforgiveness.
You can't declare purity while [00:13:00] living double-minded. This doesn't mean perfection, but it does mean repentance, holiness. And a lifestyle that says, I'm not yoked to bow, I'm yoked to Christ.
Activating Your Authority
So now that you know you have authority and what takes away your authority, you may be asking now, how do I use the authority that I have?
Well. You need to be rooted in the word of God. Remember, that's how Jesus defeated the enemy when he was on the mountain fasting for 40 days. He used the word of God to attack him. In Hebrews chapter four, verse 12, it says, for the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirits, joints and marrow.
It judges the [00:14:00] thoughts and attitudes of the heart. So you must be submitted under the word of God and use the word of God to fight off the enemy. As also stated in Ephesians chapter six, you must put on the full armor of God. Otherwise you will not be able to stand against the enemy. Next, you must speak with faith in Mark chapter 11, verse 23.
It says, therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them so that your father in heaven may forgive your sins as you heard. It takes faith to activate authority and power.
Then lastly, you must know your identity [00:15:00] in Christ. If you don't know who you are in Christ, then like I said, you are like a judge, but what the prisoner mindset walk in your identity. You're not a slave, you're an heir. You're not forgotten. You're chosen, you're not powerless. You are filled with the same spirit that raised Christ.
So today I challenge you to stop living like a victim and start reigning like the sun, our daughter of the king. You have the power of Christ in you, not just to survive, but to transform the world around you.
Declaration and Prayer
And here is a declaration for you. I am seated with Christ. I carry his authority. I speak his word, move in his power, and walk in his victory.
And if you're not sure where you [00:16:00] stand with Jesus, are you wanna recommit your life and reclaim your authority? Pray this with me. It's the salvation prayer. I'm gonna say it slowly and you can just repeat after me. I. Lord Jesus. I confess that I have sinned and gone my own way,
but today I repent
and returned to you. I believe you died. And rose again for my sins. I receive your forgiveness, your spirit, and your power. I declare that I belong to [00:17:00] you. My name is written in heaven. I walk in authority. In Jesus' name, amen.
